In November Scottish Opera came to Glaitness.
We had already worked hard learning the songs.
Now it was time to learn to sing with the children from the other schools.
We had to learn the steps in less than a day!
The people from Scottish Opera helped us remember our words and moves.
We had great fun.
Everybody had a part. We were Boys in Blue, Native Americans or Homesteaders.
We had to concentrate hard all day.
Scottish Opera brought us some great costimes
It was great fun scaring the Boys in Blue
Some of the costumes were really bright.
When we were dressed up we really felt the part.
The Scottish Opera people helped us with the actions.
We invited our families to come and watch.
Scottish Opera even brought some props with them.
We sang all day!
After just a day we knew our parts.
We sang as loud as we could.
The Boys in Blue had a lot of marching to do.
The music for the Boys in Blue had a lot of marching music.
The Native American music was very calm and beautiful.
At the end everybody clapped a lot and we felt very proud of our performance.
