Trip to Aikerness Beach, Evie
Sue Whitworth started us
off by letting us know some of the plants, animals
and birds which we might see.
Some seals popped up
straight away to say hello.
We used string to mark
out an area to study in three different zones of the
beach.
At first we couldn't see
very much at all but once we really began looking we
founds lots of things.
In the rock pool zone we
even found a crab which we called Sonic. We did leave
him there before we left.
We had lovely weather at
first.
When we stopped for
lunch some people had a shot of Sue's binoculars.
We were able to play
lots of running around games after lunch.
We found mermaid's
purses and Sue helped us identify some of the rays or
dogfish which they came from.
We then had a chance to
create some sand sculptures.
A volcanoe!
This shark even had
teeth!
We had alovely time
making channels for the sea.
A grand day
